At Call Your Mates, we believe that no one should be left without the mental health support they need. Based in the Hepburn Shire, we are dedicated to ensuring that people in our community can access additional mental health care when they need it most.

"Call Your Mates" carries many meanings, with one clear message—small reminders can make a big impact. Our merchandise is more than just a hat or a shirt —it’s a symbol of connection, support, and mental health awareness. Every time you see our logo or message, it's a nudge to check in on a mate, start a conversation, or simply remind someone they’re not alone.

Why It Matters

Unfortunately, financial barriers often prevent individuals from accessing the help they need. That’s where Call Your Mates steps in—ensuring our community members can continue their journey toward better mental health without the added stress of affordability.

Our Vision

We are committed to fostering a stronger, healthier community where mental health support is available to everyone. By supporting Call Your Mates, you are investing in the well-being of our region—one conversation, one session, and one mate at a time.

What’s Happening

Our first project has been to coordinate the painting of several dead trees around the Hepburn Shire as part of the Blue Tree movement that is a nationwide initiative. (Please head to their website for more details about the important work they do and also to see our trees listed) These encourage reflection and stand as a reminder to check on your mental health and that of friends and family.

Where we cannot find a dead tree Call Your Mates has commissioned 2.4m high metal trees to be fabricated, powdercoated blue and installed. Each of these trees has a donor and we are currently producing our second batch. Look out for these as they start to pop up!

Behind the scenes we have been working on long term solutions for accessibility to mental health initiatives and services within the Hepburn Shire. We hope to develop and instigate a pilot program which will work with health care professionals within the next 12 months.
